Reed Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a global aerospace business based in St Athan. They are a growing business and are looking for an additional member of staff to join their stores team. The successful candidate in the role of Project Control and Planning Manager will be part of the team’s new operational model, helping develop processes and workflows that deliver the planning and control function.

Stores Officer Salary and Benefits

  • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Being part of the GPC team, planning and controlling operational aspects of the business, including: Customer Projects through the complete lifecycle from contract handover to project completion and tracking against pre-agreed milestones.
  • Communications: Internal Comms: Communicate with management, Team Members, other staff members, in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Helps ensure GPC co-ordination with all internal departments – Sales & Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Project Technical Leads, Logistics, & Carpentry.
  • Aids in maintaining The GPC as the customer’s prime POC from the project planning to project completion (and post project) phases - supporting and liaising with the customer with all operational points raised in relation to the project
  • Launches the Project - ensuring pre-work checks are completed, contract and harvest list received from Customer and project folder for disassembly team prepared.
  • Facilitates: Pre-Project Calls/external Project communications / Project Closure (survey) Calls Weekly Reports, Project KPIs and Update of the project board with Lead Technician (on a daily basis) Customer decision points including ‘Wings Cut’ etc
  • Launches the Post project reviews and Customer Surveys
  • Support the GM’s to: Deliver agreed 3-month plan for each site Ensure accurate indexed records retention and project traceability. Maintain adherence to Company Health & Safety policy by all staff and report issues/concerns
  • Travel to meet business requirements when required.
  • Any other duties associated with, or different from those specified above at the request of the Senior Management, or to meet the needs of the business demands.
