VisionFR is delighted to be assisting a highly successful creative consultancy to find them a Senior Management Accountant. This role will be an integral part of the finance team and directly works with key stakeholders. You’ll work across the UK and US entities. You’ll report to the FC and support the junior finance team.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant
Month end
- Delegate appropriate tasks to the Assistant Management Accountant
- Review tasks performed by the Assistant Management Accountant, e.g., bank recs
- Ensure month end tasks are completed in line with timetable
- For each entity, ensure all relevant journals are posted and the monthly P&Ls and Balance Sheet are completed correctly
- Post all journals for fixed assets, accruals and prepayments
- Liaise with the Payroll Manager to ensure payroll journals are posted correctly
- Provide detailed commentary for m-o-m movements in both the P&L and Balance Sheet ready for FC/FD review
- Intercompany transactions
- Payroll reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
Budgeting & Business Partnering
- Assisting in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
- Liaise with cost centre managers to understand their budgetary needs
- Consolidate all entity budgets
- Provide cost centre managers with YTD spend vs Budget and ensure they keep within their budget/reforecast
Other
- Calculate VAT each Quarter
- Provide auditors with all required information for audit testing
- Complete ONS surveys
- Identify process / system improvements / automation
Key Requirements for Senior Management Accountant
- Proficient in Paprika
- Technical accounting skills (CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or at final exam stage)
- Proficient on Excel - pivots, vlookups, sumifs etc.
- Good Leadership & Mentoring Skills
- Strong Commercial Awareness
- Collaborative Individual
