AJ Chambers are recruiting for a small boutique practice in Brighton, offering a part-time opportunity for a Tax Senior or Assistant Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern and fast-growing practice based in Brighton. The firm currently supports around 170 clients, including sole traders, limited companies, and freelancers—many within the creative, digital, and media sectors. With just three team members currently, the firm has ambitious growth plans and is looking for someone to play a key role in its development.

The role is split across both personal and corporate tax, with a greater emphasis on personal tax. It would suit a personable and technically capable tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, values flexibility, and thrives in a relaxed but high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of personal tax returns for a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, freelancers, and directors

• Corporate tax compliance for small limited companies

• Advising clients on tax planning and ad hoc queries

• Liaising directly with clients and HMRC

• Supporting practice growth through process improvements or mentoring junior staff, if desired

Requirements:

• ATT qualified or qualified by experience (CTA desirable but not essential)

• Solid experience in personal tax, with some exposure to corporate tax

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied client portfolio

• Friendly, proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping clients
