With over two decades of expertise, this established client takes pride in delivering high-quality, precise surveys across diverse industries such as rail, highways, and construction. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Land Surveyor to join the team. The ideal candidate should possess a background in managing large and intricate land surveying projects, demonstrating flexibility to work away from home and/or during night shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day project management and lead other on-site surveyors.
- Conduct investigative land surveys, adhering to company procedures.
- Address and resolve on-site issues, including equipment, access, and safety concerns.
- Collaborate with site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Perform quality control checks and deliver data to CAD.
- Mentor and train less experienced surveyors.
- Provide technical support to Project Managers and internal staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of Land Surveying experience, with at least two years UK based experience.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (Total Stations and GPS systems) and AutoCAD software.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in diverse environments and complex surveys.
- Full UK driving license.
- Previous mentoring/training experience.
- Qualification in Surveying or a relevant field incorporating Surveying.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Bentley Microstation, Atlas SCC software, LSS.
- Familiarity with Laser Scanners.
- Broad understanding of the surveying, utilities, and construction industries.
- Experience in processing and survey report writing.
