What will you be doing?
  • Interpret customer requirements and define design specifications
  • Develop and validate pump designs for performance and durability
  • Carry out tolerance analysis on assemblies
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
  • Apply GD&T to ensure manufacturability and fit for purpose design
  • Support prototype builds and testing activities
  • Present design updates and solutions to internal stakeholders
Where will you be doing it?
  • Established engineering and manufacturing site in Kendal
  • Working within a collaborative detailed design team
  • Supporting global customers in power generation and industrial sectors
  • Mix of new product development and ongoing project work
What will you need?
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar; or equivalent experience
  • Experience with rotating equipment or assemblies
  • Understanding of engineering design processes
  • Strong 3D CAD capability; SolidWorks preferred
  • Experience producing technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of tolerancing and GD&T
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised approach with ability to meet deadlines
