4Site Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a prestigious main contractor based in Central London. Specialising in super prime residential refurbishments, they are known for delivering projects of exceptional quality in some of the capital's most exclusive postcodes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded firm and play a key commercial role in delivering complex, high-value refurbishment projects.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of multiple high-end residential refurbishment schemes. You will be responsible for cost planning, procurement, contract administration, valuations, and final accounts, ensuring financial control from inception to completion. Your role will be pivotal in protecting margins, maintaining strong subcontractor relationships, and supporting project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing project costs from early feasibility through to final account

Preparing detailed cost plans, tender documents, and procurement strategies

Overseeing valuations, variations, and interim payments

Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers

Working closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure budget compliance

Producing financial reports and forecasts for senior management

Ensuring contract compliance and risk mitigation across all commercial activity

Mentoring and supervising junior commercial staff
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within high-end residential or super prime refurbishments

Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including JCT contracts

Previous experience supporting or managing junior team members

Experience managing multiple projects and dealing with complex cost structures

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities

Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; RICS membership is advantageous
