Halewood Academy, part of the Wade Deacon Trust and partnered with The Supply Register, is seeking a reliable and organised Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms during teacher absences. ✨ Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher

Follow lesson plans and ensure students remain on task

Support pupils' learning and behaviour management

Report any issues to the relevant staff member or SENCO

Ensure a safe, productive, and positive classroom environment

Provide administrative support to teaching staff when required

✨ Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential:

Experience working with children in a school environment

Good classroom management and communication skills

DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism in a classroom setting

Desirable:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor qualification

Experience in behaviour management or supporting pupils with SEN

Knowledge of the national curriculum

First Aid qualification
