A well-established and highly regarded firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in Cheshire is seeking a Corporate Recovery & Insolvency Assistant Manager to join its busy and growing team. The firm has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advisory and insolvency services across a wide range of industries.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency and recovery cases, while supporting senior management in the delivery of complex assignments. You will also play a key role in supervising junior staff and ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, and liquidations
  • Support on corporate recovery and restructuring assignments
  • Prepare and review statutory reports and key case documentation
  • Liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with investigations into company affairs and director conduct
  • Oversee asset realisations and case progression to closure
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with regulatory and compliance standards
  • Support senior staff with business development activities where appropriate

Requirements

  • Previous experience within corporate insolvency and recovery
  • CPI/ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency (or working towards) preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of insolvency processes and legislation
  • Experience managing a portfolio of cases
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff
