Kennedys is looking for a Talent Development Advisor to join our Talent team based in Chelmsford, London or Manchester. The Talent Advisor will be responsible for advising and supporting on learning & development, talent management, and people performance across UK & EMEA. They will work closely with the Senior Talent Manager, Learning & Development Managers and the wider HR team.

Team

The Kennedys HR team is over 85 strong and supports the firm around the world with all people related matters.

The HR team is based across Kennedys' five regions; APAC, EMEA, US, LATAM and UK. The areas of HR that we have responsibility for are Business Partnering, Talent, Recruitment, Responsible Business, Operations, and Reward.

This role will be part of the Talent team, which is responsible for talent management, people performance, professional skills development and training, culture, and engagement. The team comprises a Senior Talent Manager, two Learning and Development Advisors (including this role), a Learning and Development Programme Operations Specialist, and a Learning and Development Assistant, and is currently recruiting for two Learning & Development Managers.

You will be working in a fast-paced, demanding, and global environment as we strive to make a difference for our people, clients and communities where we work.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with senior stakeholders, the Talent team and HRBPs to implement and review talent actions arising from embedded talent processes
  • Supporting the delivery of talent projects within the team, working collaboratively with the wider Talent and HR team.
  • Supporting the Learning & Development Managers with development needs analysis, content creation, delivery and evaluation.
  • Working closely with HR Business Partners to support the implementation and refinement of talent processes and tools such as succession planning and talent mapping.
  • Working closely with L&D managers and stakeholders to ensure a seamless learning experience.
  • Creating and implementing smaller scale talent processes and tools to support bigger pieces of work
  • Driving engagement with talent initiatives and processes at all levels
  • Building relationships across HR teams and regions, in particular regional L&D teams and the Responsible Business team.

Required experience

  • Previous experience in either Learning and Development or a wider Talent role gained in a corporate environment
  • Experience supporting performance review processes, career progression frameworks and succession planning
  • Work collaboratively with a consultative approach, and a strong ability to influence
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of partnership environments
  • Strong technology skills, in particular data manipulation and analysis to identify trends and generate insight
  • Ability to build productive relationships with senior and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility and relationships quickly.
