role is based in Bristol and requires expertise in tax-related responsibilities and client advisory.

Description
- Lead and manage the VAT advisory function, providing expert guidance to clients.
- Develop and implement VAT strategies to optimise compliance and efficiency.
- Oversee and support VAT audits, ensuring adherence to current regulations and policies.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, offering tailored advice.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless client services.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and communicate implications to clients and teams.
- Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and expand the organisation's client base.
Profile
A successful VAT Director should have:
- Extensive experience in VAT and tax advisory services.
- A strong background working for an accountancy practice.
- Proven expertise in handling complex VAT-related issues and compliance matters.
- A professional tax qualification such as CTA or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
