Join a well-established engineering team in Sunbury as a Mechanical Assembler - Systems, working on the build and assembly of complex, integrated mechanical systems. If you're hands-on, confident interpreting engineering drawings, and skilled in brazing, pipework, and TIG welding, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge in a varied production environment.
As a Mechanical Assembler - Systems, you'll work closely with the engineering and production teams to assemble products to specification, contributing to both NPI and ongoing production work. You'll be instrumental in delivering high-precision equipment used in technically demanding sectors.
Your key responsibilities as a Mechanical Assembler - Systems:
* Assemble integrated systems using mechanical drawings and SOPs
* Carry out brazing, pipe bending/forming, and TIG welding
* Fit and assemble pipework, tanks, and frameworks to engineering specifications
* Support the development of prototype assemblies and collaborate with engineers
* Follow hot work procedures and apply safety standards at all times
* Perform quality checks, document findings, and support continuous improvement
To be successful as a Mechanical Assembler - Systems, you'll need
* Previous experience in mechanical assembly or prototype system builds
* Proven experience in brazing, TIG welding, and pipe fitting
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and SOPs
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team
* Comfortable working with hand tools and mechanical assembly equipment
