The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of Mansfield District Council for a Waste Transfer Station Operative to provide holiday and ad hoc cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a JCB to load skips and manage waste materials
• Using the Weightron weighbridge system
• Ensuring waste is handled safely and efficiently
• Adhering to all on‑site health & safety procedures

Full training will be provided on site.

Requirements

• Valid Loading Shovel licence (essential)
• Valid Telehandler licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a Waste Transfer Station or similar environment preferred
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently

Working Hours and Pay Rate:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
• £13.69 per hour

Training & Dates

• Paid training: Thursday 16th & Friday 17th April 2026
• Cover required: Week commencing 20th April 2026
• Ongoing ad hoc holiday cover available throughout the year
