We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer to join our team. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using various hand and power tools.

THE ROLE:

* Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams

* Assemble electrical control panels by mounting components onto backplates or enclosures

* Wire control panels by routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires

* Install and connect electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks

* Test completed panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issues

* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

* Maintain a clean and organized work area

THE CANDIDATE:

* Previous experience in panel wiring or a related field

* Knowledge of electrical systems

* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for panel wiring

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

* Basic mechanical knowledge for mounting components

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues

* Good communication skills to collaborate with team members

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

* £16.00 per hour

* Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 & 12:30 finish on a Friday

* Free car parking, local bus and train routes

* Temporary position lasting a minimum of 6 weeks (possibility of a longer term contract)

* Weekly pay, every Friday.
