Silver Lodge Care Home is a purpose built 40 bed care home, providing specialist nursing dementia and complex nursing dementia care across two dedicated 20 bed units. The home offers a safe, structured, and supportive environment, designed to meet the needs of residents requiring high levels of clinical and dementia care, with a strong focus on dignity, wellbeing, and person centred support.

- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role OverviewAs Head Housekeeper, this role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, clean and well organised environment within a specialist complex care setting. High standards of cleanliness are essential to supporting both residents’ wellbeing and clinical care delivery.
Leading the housekeeping team, the role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations across all areas of the home, including resident rooms, communal spaces and laundry services. You will ensure consistent standards are maintained, tasks are effectively delegated and the team is supported to deliver high quality work.
The role also includes managing supplies and equipment, carrying out regular quality checks and ensuring all work is completed in line with infection control and health and safety standards. Working closely with other departments, you will help maintain a smooth running environment that is safe, comfortable and welcoming for residents.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role, ideally within a care setting
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work across teams
- A proactive and reliable approach
