Nursery Teaching Assistant - Jewish Prep School (Pre-Nursery)
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:45pm (Fridays finish at 1:00pm)
Location: North Westminster, London

Are you a warm, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine love for working with toddlers? A respected Jewish preparatory school in Westminster is seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to support their Pre-Nursery class (ages 2-3) from this September.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity-perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on, nurturing young children, and becoming part of a values-led, community-driven school.

About the School:
Set within a caring Jewish prep school, the Pre-Nursery class offers a welcoming, child-led environment focused on play, early development, and emotional security. The school places a strong emphasis on kindness, community, and respect, while maintaining a warm, family atmosphere.

While no formal qualifications are required for this role, a genuine passion for working with young children is essential. You'll be working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support daily routines and learning through play.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm

Friday: 8:30am - 1:00pm (early finish in line with the Jewish calendar)

Who We're Looking For:

Caring and nurturing - able to build strong bonds with very young children and help them feel safe and supported

Hands-on and enthusiastic - happy to take part in play, creative activities, and routines like snack time and tidy-up

Team player - works well under direction but also uses initiative when needed

Respectful of faith-based education - no prior experience in Jewish settings required, but openness to the school's ethos is important

Requirements:

Experience working with children aged 2-3 (in nursery, playgroup, or informal settings)

A positive, reliable, and patient attitude

Good communication skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Availability to work full-time during term time
