Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for an opportunity to influence the full engineering lifecycle, from initial design through to testing and final delivery. As well as leading and driving an existing team forward?

Emmerson Kitney is a leading partnership lead Recruitment agency to who Is looking to recruit a Engineering Manager - The role carries with it a high level of complexity and therefore requires an acute attention to detail coupled with a comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing processes and leadership to excel in the role.

This is more than just a management position—it's an opportunity to influence the full engineering lifecycle, from initial design through to testing and final delivery.

* You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across foundry, machining, assembly, and testing, while ensuring compliance with industry certifications like ISO, PED, ASME, ATEX, and API.

* Your contribution will directly impact product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency in a dynamic and technically demanding environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

* Managing the Design and Technical Engineering teams and ensuring full support to manufacturing operations.

* Overseeing the full life cycle of engineering projects—from concept to completion—while meeting technical, timing, and customer delivery objectives.

* Coordinating department activities in line with Corporate and Group goals.

* Supporting production areas including foundry, machining, assembly, and testing by troubleshooting and enhancing efficiency.

* Establishing and maintaining an effective engineering organizational structure aligned with company strategy.

* Ensuring all systems and products comply with relevant standards and certifications (ISO, PED, ASME, ATEX, API).

* Contributing to R&D and innovation initiatives in collaboration with the Corporate Strategy & Innovation team.

* Operating within company policies related to quality, production, and HSE while exercising delegated managerial authority.

* Providing regular updates and communication to the Business Unit Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

* Strong leadership and technical capabilities in mechanical engineering, ideally with experience in valves or similar engineered products.

* A collaborative, results-oriented management style with the ability to develop people and drive performance.

* Proven ability to manage complex workloads and deliver on customer requirements without compromising quality.

* Skilled communicator who can work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of analysing issues and implementing practical solutions.

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing & Safety, and high awareness of HSE principles.

* Qualifications such as GCSE / ONC / similar, or substantial proven experience in a similar role.

* Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, CFD and other relevant engineering tools.

* Experience in engineering or make-to-order manufacturing environments.
