Simply Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Qualified Textiles Teacher (QTS) to join a welcoming secondary school in Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and develop their creativity, technical skills, and confidence in textiles and design.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Textiles and Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
Teach core textile techniques such as sewing, fabric manipulation, surface design, and garment construction.
Encourage creativity, experimentation, and independent design thinking.
Assess and monitor student progress in line with curriculum requirements.
Maintain a safe and organised classroom/workshop environment.The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching Textiles or Design Technology in a secondary school setting.
Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
Is passionate about creative education and inspiring young designers.
Can work collaboratively with the wider department.All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. Any interviews we hold will be conducted over a Teams call.
