Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing design team, supporting projects across the design lifecycle. This opportunity offers exposure to a variety of equipment and processing solutions used within the liquid and powder processing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering

* Produce accurate 3D designs and technical drawings using SOLIDWORKS

* Maintain and amend existing designs

* Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to all design work

* Incorporate hygienic design principles within equipment designs

* Produce and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and track design changes

* Liaise with the process engineering team to align P&IDs with 3D models

Qualifications

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline (Minimum 2:1 classification preferred)

* Professional accreditation or progress towards accreditation desirable

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 3 years' experience using SOLIDWORKS

* Experience in mechanical design within engineering environments

* Knowledge of Design for Manufacture

* Understanding of engineering principles including loads and mechanical calculations

* Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations

* Experience within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial sectors
