An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established and respected Principal Contractor based in Leeds. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the commercial, retail and public sectors, the business is entering a new phase of strategic growth.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial success of multiple projects, overseeing cost management, contract administration and client liaison. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll support project delivery from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of project costs, valuations and variations
• Lead procurement of subcontractors and negotiation of contracts
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts and CVRs
• Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements
• Support and mentor junior QS staff as required
• Work closely with clients, suppliers and internal delivery teams

About You:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment
• Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract forms
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
