Our client is seeking a Child Panel Accredited Childcare Lawyer to join their Thanet, Kent offices on a Hybrid working basis.

My client is seeking a Childcare solicitor or chartered legal executive with strong advocacy skills and experience of dealing with all aspects of children's law, to join their busy and highly regarded Family Department. The firm is also one of East Kent's largest and oldest legal practices.

The Ideal Candidate

• The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is organised and has a good client manner.
• Children Panel Accreditation is essential.
• You must be experienced in running your own caseload, working independently and remotely when the need arises due to court commitments.
• The firm represents clients at meetings with social services and most days at the family courts throughout Kent and sometimes at the High Court in London.
• The firm's team is friendly and committed and you will be encouraged to make your mark and progress your career.

Benefits and Working Hours

• The position is either full or part-time and will be permanent.
• If you work full time your hours will be Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
• Working from home is often effective and the client believes in its benefits, so have a permanent and occasional working-from-home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working.
• You may be considering relocating to the East Kent coast or one of the inland towns and villages. If so, the client will pay the buying and selling conveyancing fees of a successful candidate and assist with introductions to their extensive network of local estate agents.
• Thanet and Canterbury have a wide range of excellent schools that the firm can tell you about if you have school-age children. If you would be moving away from the capital to take up the post, Margate is on the high-speed train line to London.
