Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a major Utilities organisation based in Barnsley in the search for a CIPS Qualified Senior Buyer who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop in a thriving Supply Chain Function.
A countrywide recognised organisation, this role will play a critical part in the success of the site and the wider business.

My client is looking for a well-rounded Purchasing professional with experience across supplier management, commercial negotiations and process improvements, coupled with the ability to analyse data and produce reports back to the Senior Leadership Team.

Alongside this, you will be tasked with rationalising the supplier base, whilst managing and reviewing their performance against set KPIs.
You will also be tasked with sourcing new suppliers and bringing them onboard successfully.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

Negotiating and implementing new supplier agreements
Onboarding new suppliers and rationalising the supplier database where needed
Identifying areas for improvement across the Purchasing function
Monitoring Supplier performance against agreed KPIs to ensure the highest level of performance whilst meeting customer demand
Applying LEAN methodologies where needed to reduce waste for internal processes

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:
Educated to Degree level
MCIPS Qualified or working towards MCIPS status
Experience with large contracts or framework agreements
Proven negotiator
Strong Excel skills required
Confident when speaking to and managing stakeholders on all levels
Proven analytical, planning and strong organisation skills
Demonstrated experience of process improvements
