Summary of the Process Engineer role
Based at our site in Cramlington, the Process Engineer is responsible for delivering detailed process engineering design studies to support capital and revenue projects, as well as new product introductions. You will develop project scopes, produce detailed design specifications and take ownership of specifying and selecting new process equipment. As a SAP user, you will be expected to carry our assigned SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Your responsibilities
- Specify and select new process equipment
- Develop and agree control philosophy
- Conduct feasibility studies to support product expansion and new business development
- Support production in optimisation, operational troubleshooting and project commissioning
- Carry out project management, project engineering, cost estimation and cost control activities on appropriate projects
- Revise and prepare appropriate standards and procedures as required
- Deliver projects within capital expenditure forecasts

Requirements for the role
- Graduate chemical engineer as a minimum requirement
- Good technical knowledge and application skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Organisation and management skills
- Commercial awareness
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
