Personal Tax Manager - Full Time - Hybrid/Remote Working

Are you a seasoned tax professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are a well-established and growing accountancy firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The Role

You will work directly with the partners, providing expert tax advice and support across a diverse portfolio of clients. These range from private individuals to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, and larger limited companies across various industries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 80% Personal Tax / 20% Other Tax Areas
  • Managing a client portfolio including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.

  • Reviewing complex tax returns and offering technical support to internal teams.

  • Advising on areas including R&D tax credits, inheritance tax, share schemes (EMI/CSOP), corporate restructuring, VAT, SDLT, and more.

  • Preparing and submitting technical documentation, including HMRC tax clearances.

  • Supporting junior staff with training and mentoring.

  • Contributing to business development through relationship building and identifying opportunities.

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a tax-focused role within practice.

  • CTA/ATT qualified is a must.

  • Strong technical knowledge in direct and indirect tax, with the ability to provide practical solutions.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clients and senior staff.

  • Independent, commercially minded, and deadline-oriented.

  • Proficiency with CCH and Microsoft Office tools.
