HGV Class 2 Driver - Ely
£16.50/hr + Weekly Bonus | Paid Overtime Available
Ongoing, full-time opportunity with a well-established UK supplier!
We're currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client, a leading distributor of internal doors and related products. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for a stable, long-term role within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
You will be responsible for delivering goods to builders' merchants, trade sites, and residential addresses.
The Role:
- Start times: Varying (early starts expected)
- Monday to Friday (39 hours basic)
- Regular overtime available
- Average 2 nights out per week
- Ongoing, permanent position
Pay Rates:
- £16.50 per hour
- Weekly bonus scheme
- Paid overtime
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring loads are secure before departure
- Delivering goods safely and on time
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Assisting with delivery of products to ground floor rooms where required
- Keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained
What We're Looking For:
- Full EU Driving Licence (minimum 3 years)
- No more than 3 penalty points (no recent disqualifications)
- Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to complete nights out when required
