One of the UK's largest outsourcing companies and a major provider of services to the Government and Public Sector is looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our ambitious and growing team.

You will play a key role in supporting our continued growth across the North West of England, working on a wide variety of projects including condition surveys, technical due diligence, forensic surveying and specialist fire related surveying work. While this role is North West focused, you'll work with clients across the UK — travel will be required and all travel costs are fully reimbursed.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Building Surveyor - Fire Surveying, Fire Safety

o Carry out a full range of survey types including measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis

o Deliver professional surveying work such as:

o Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)

o Carry out fire related surveying (training available), including:

 Compartmentation surveys

 Fire stopping reviews

 Fire door inspections

o Undertake design and specification work, including preparing tender documents

o Assist in administering building contracts

o Lead and develop detailed project briefs

o Build and maintain strong client relationships

 Party wall matters

 Dilapidations

 Access audits

 Technical Due Diligence

 Dampers/ductwork checks

o Support team leadership with mentoring, recruitment, financials and workload planning

Essential Skills & Experience Required

Building Surveyor - Fire Surveying, Fire Safety

o BSc in Building Surveying (or equivalent)

o MRICS or MCIOB preferred; candidates close to chartership are strongly encouraged

o Several years' experience across Building Surveying or Building Control environments

o Experience or interest in fire safety/fabric surveying (training can be provided)

o Strong technical ability with the confidence to work independently

o Excellent communication and relationship building skills

o Strong AutoCAD skills and willingness to adopt new software/tools

o Full UK driving licence

o Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay away — with all travel reimbursed
