Learning Support Assistant - SEN School (Ages 4-19)

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

Pay: £13.75 per hour | Term Time Only

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a highly regarded Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Farnborough. Catering for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of complex needs, the school has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted and prides itself on its inclusive and nurturing environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting the development and wellbeing of children and young people with SEN. Whether you have previous experience or are looking to begin a rewarding career in education, full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of learning and communication needs

Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging and accessible lessons

Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Support pupils with personal care, physical needs, and behaviour management, where required

Encourage independence and promote positive social interactions

Candidate Requirements:

A genuine interest in working with children and young people with special educational needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Previous experience in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential

Position Details:

Contract: Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)

Pay: £13.75 per hour

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
