Assistant Design Technician to support the current Pre-Con Design Team.

The Pre-Con Design team are focussed on supporting architects and designers at RIBA stage 2-4. The successful applicant will join a growing team of designers and assist the more senior members of the team with new prospects across the Group. Projects will include CAT A, CAT A+ and CAT B commercial projects using extensive range of in-house fire rated and non fire rated partition systems as well as 3rd party and bespoke solutions.

The role will be based at our office in Canary Wharf on a full time basis, working hours are 8:30am to 5pm. The Salary for this role is 30-35k based on experience, with some of the desirable skills required to reach that upper threshold.

It will be a 2-stage interview process. The first interview will be an informal conversation between the head of department and the candidate with the purpose being getting to know each other and discussing the oppertunity in more detail. If successful the candidate will be offered a 2nd interview. The 2nd interview will be a more detailed look at the candidate's portfolio of work, it will be an opportunity for the candidate to present themselves to with a Q&A at the end. I'll provide more information on this stage if the candidate is successful in moving forward.

An Assistant Design Technician in our Pre-Con team will be responsible for:

* Attending Design Workshops

* Producing accurate information based on client/architect requirements

* Producing drawings for our estimating team to support a tender return

* Working closely with the technical team to design bespoke solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

* The candidate must be experienced in using AutoCAD 2D.

* Confident using Microsoft Office.

* Experience working in construction/fit-out

Desirable Skills & Experience:

* Revit/BIM proficiency

* Experience working within the commercial fit-out industry, ideally working on live projects.

* Experience working with one of the following sub-contractors: Glazed Partitions/Joinery/Partitions.

* Presentation skills

* Experience creating specifications

* Experience working with Structural Glazing/Facades
