The Opportunity

Alecto Recruitment is currently partnering with a well-established and growing business seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team across London and the surrounding areas.

With a strong pipeline of long-term contracts and a solid reputation in the industry, this is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for stability, strong earning potential, and a varied workload across commercial and industrial environments.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems. Working across multiple sites, you'll ensure equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, service, and maintenance of refrigeration systems
Fault finding and reactive breakdown repairs
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Working on equipment including:
Cold rooms
Pack systems
Display cabinets
Commercial fridges and freezers
Completing service reports and job documentation
Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
Maintaining a professional presence on client sites

About You

Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer
F-Gas Category 1 (essential)
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (desirable)
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
Full UK driving licence
Able to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
