My client is one of the world's leading independent power generation experts, specialising in landfill gas and biogas to energy projects in the UK and around the world. They use a variety of technologies and solutions which include gas generation, solar PV and battery storage. As an agile and innovative energy solutions business, my client is perfectly placed to respond to market changes and dynamics to deliver additional benefit for their customers.

The Role

My client is seeking a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for identifying and selling large funded energy generation projects that include solar, gas generation and battery storage to I&C customers. The role will include finding new market opportunities and securing commercial contracts through power purchase agreements. This is a key role in the Business Development Team and will work closely with the technical and finance teams to generate compelling businesses cases for quality large scale energy generation projects and work to close these opportunities.


* Prepare and execute a well-defined sales strategy for selling of my clients' Solar Proposition to new business customers across targeted industry sectors within the UK

* Accountable for leading sales opportunities, including leading a bid team, driving the sales process from plan to close, achieving growth and hitting sales targets, revenue objectives and product penetration for new prospects.

* Grow and manage a pipeline and opportunities, reporting to management on a regular basis an accurate view of pipeline, forecasting and actions to achieve closure.

* Negotiate and secure client contracts, maximising commercial opportunity but minimising risk for my client.

* Supporting customers through energy industry experience and giving appropriate advice.
