Our client who is a well established Maintenance Provider who are looking to add an experienced M&E Compliance Manager to join a team in West London. Please note that our client requires the Compliance manager to come from a technical background.

M&E Compliance Manager Duties:

• Administer the client Permitting System (TAP) for our client and contractors.
• Train staff on use of the permitting system.
• Act as the main contact for permitting escalations across the estate.
• Advise our client and account team on permitting and system improvements in line with legislation and best practice.
• Develop and maintain controls to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.
• Monitor and improve the effectiveness of compliance controls.
• Review procedures and reports to identify risks and non-conformities.
• Draft and implement policies, toolbox talks and RAMS.
• Work with corporate counsel to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report monthly to the client HSQE representative on near misses, incidents and SLA performance.
• Identify health, safety and compliance issues and provide guidance or training where required.
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes and best practices.
• Prepare reports for senior management and regulators as required.
• Maintain statutory logbooks and schedule third-party inspections.
• Conduct audits and ensure actions are closed out.
• Work closely with the client on internal and external compliance matters.

M&E Compliance Manager Requirements:

• Technical background with a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 trade qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years’ engineering experience.
• Ideally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• NEBOSH certification or higher Health & Safety qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Permit Management or proven experience managing permit systems.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Compliance Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Internal ISO Auditing.
• Strong understanding of the Fire Safety (Regulatory Reform) Order and Building Safety Act.
