We are currently seeking an outstanding Teacher of English to join a vibrant and dedicated team in Wakefield from September 2025. Essential Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Strong knowledge of the English national curriculum (KS3 & KS4).
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teach to a range of abilities, tailoring support and challenge accordingly.
Contribute to curriculum planning and resource development.
Mark, assess, and track student progress against national standards.
Set high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement.
Inspire a love of reading and critical thinking.
Provide timely, high-quality feedback to students.
Attend and contribute to department and whole-school meetings.
Participate in extra-curricular English activities, clubs, or trips.
