Hazelbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose built commissioning care home located in Leicester. The home offers specialist and complex care for up to 80 residents across four 20 bed bungalow style households. Designed to support calm, therapeutic living, the home provides high quality care for people living with advanced dementia, complex nursing needs and mental health conditions in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

• £12.71 per hour
• 30 hours per week across 3 shifts
• Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided, Onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a commissioning care home and be part of a brand new kitchen team from the very beginning. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the preparation and delivery of high quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.

You will assist with food preparation, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard, while supporting the smooth running of the kitchen. Your role will include maintaining cleanliness across all kitchen areas, handling deliveries, storing food safely and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and maintained correctly.

Working closely with the Head Chef and wider team, you will follow food safety procedures, health and safety regulations and company policies at all times. Your contribution will help ensure residents receive meals that are not only nutritious but enjoyable, supporting their overall wellbeing and daily experience.

•  Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is desirable but not essential
