Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Design Manager - BESS to join their team. This permanent role offers a hybrid working environment and can be based in the Sheffield or Leeds offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the design and development of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from inception to completion
Coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
Ensuring all electrical design work meets regulatory and industry standards
Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
Providing technical guidance and support to the design team
Reviewing and approving design documents and drawings
Continually assessing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in the energy sector

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in the design and management of BESS projects
Strong background in electrical design within the energy sector
Proficiency with relevant design software and tools
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, coordinating between the Sheffield or Leeds offices
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
