Streamline Recruitment is partnering with a fantastic haulage company that specializes in container collections and deliveries to find an experienced Transport Compliance Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring that all transport operations are fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

About the Role:

As a Transport Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's compliance with all transport-related regulations and standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies and procedures, as well as conducting audits and training to ensure that all staff adhere to these standards. The position offers flexibility in working hours and includes on-call duties every third week to address any compliance-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the company's transport operations comply with all relevant UK and EU regulations, including tachograph regulations, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance standards.

* Develop, implement, and maintain transport compliance policies and procedures in line with current legislation and industry best practices.

* Conduct regular audits of transport operations, including vehicle inspections, driver records, and safety procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

* Investigate any compliance breaches or incidents, implement corrective actions, and report findings to senior management.

* Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities, including audit results, training records, and incident reports.

* Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all required documentation is up to date and any issues are addressed promptly.

* Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation to proactively update compliance practices and ensure ongoing adherence.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a transport compliance role, with a strong background in the haulage or logistics industry.

* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK transport regulations, including tachograph laws, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance requirements.

* CPC

Monday - Friday ( 40 hrs ) flexible

£35-45K Dependent on experience
