Production Operative

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our busy manufacturer client based in Basingstoke.

Shift times:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00

Salary:

• £27,000 - £27,200 per annum depending on experience

Day-to-day duties:

As a Production Operative, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Setting up and running saw machines to ensure optimum efficiency
• Identifying and resolving faults during set-up in line with order requirements
• Completing paperwork and inputting data accurately into the system
• Performing checks against instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting any issues immediately
• Ensuring adequate stock of raw materials to maintain productivity
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
• Reporting defective machine parts promptly

Essential skills:

To be successful as a Production Operative, you will need:

• Previous machine operation and machinery skills
• Quality control expertise
• Proficiency in using hand tools
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• A committed attitude to continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production

Training:

• Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout, with continuing development opportunities
