Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Sheffield to appoint a passionate and dedicated History Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join a dynamic Humanities department in a school that values academic excellence, creativity, and community. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess and track student progress in line with national curriculum standards

  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental initiatives

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in History or a related subject

  • Proven experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and for working with young people
