Glencorse Care Home is a purpose built care home located in Penicuik, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 54 residents. With a strong focus on teamwork and high standards of care, the home offers a supportive environment where staff can develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.

Team Leader - Nightshift

• £15.00 per hour
• Full time and part time contracts available
• Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided, Onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

Role Overview
As a Team Leader, you will take responsibility for the smooth and safe running of the home during night shifts, ensuring residents receive high quality, person centred care in a calm and reassuring environment. You will lead by example, supporting and guiding the care team to maintain consistent standards throughout the night.

You will oversee medication administration, ensure care plans and documentation are accurate and up to date, and respond promptly and effectively to any changes in residents' health or wellbeing. Working with confidence and professionalism, you will make informed decisions, manage priorities and ensure residents' needs are met at all times.

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and well organised environment, carrying out regular checks, supporting effective communication and liaising with on call professionals where required. Your leadership will provide reassurance to residents and direction to your team, helping to create a stable, supportive and well managed night service.

What We Are Looking For

•  SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential
•  Previous experience in a senior or team leader role
•  Medication administration competency
•  Strong leadership and decision making skills
•  Ability to work independently and manage nightshift responsibilities
•  Caring, calm and professional approach
