Stephen James Consulting are recruiting for a Deputy Manager (RGN) based in Horsham, West Sussex. This pivotal role will support the Home Manager within this large nursing care home, which offers residential, nursing and dementia care for older adults with a person-centred approach.

The home prides itself on high quality care in an exceptional environment, the home can accommodate up to 50 residents, with full nursing care. The home provides a welcoming and caring extended family atmosphere.

You will be responsible for:

* The Deputy Manager is intrinsic to the success of the Home through effective delivery of providing support to the Home Manager in ensuring all resident and staffing needs are met.

* Responsible for supporting the Home Manager to embed a safe and welcoming environment for residents, their families, employees, and visitors.

* Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership to support the Home Manager ensure staffing requirements and needs are met in line with Trust, CQC and Local Authority standards.

* Provide support to the Home Manager and employees towards the home being rated 'Good' or above by CQC.

To be considered for this role of Deputy Manager (RGN) you will need the following experience:

* Nurse qualified, with a current NMC Pin - Essential

* Relevant and demonstrable work experience in a nursing / residential care setting.

* Good working knowledge of the current CQC regulations and of relevant legislation.

* Ideally have minimum of 12 / 18 months experience of managing staff within nursing / residential care home setting.

* Can demonstrate excellent leadership and effective communication skills

* To be an active and encouraging Manager, establish and maintain effective means of communication and good relationships with residents, relatives, employees in the home.
