We are currently searching for a hardworking, dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Secondary School in Southend-on-Sea!

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking Teaching Assistant with recent experience working in schools and will have ideally have experience both supporting pupils in small groups as well as providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as ADHD and Autism.

You will need to be flexible - you most required to support children throughout Years 7-11 and be able to provide 1:1 support for SEN pupils when required.

Recent experience is essential. This a temporary to permanent role. After a successful interview/trial, you will initially be on a temporary role for 12-14 academic weeks. Perform well, any permanent contracts are available.

The specifications of the role are as follows:

* Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only).

* £85-95 per day.

* Weekly pay.

* To supervise and provide educational support for pupils.

* To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities.

* To use effective behaviour management techniques.

* To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher.

* To demonstrate patience and resilience when supporting challenging pupils.

To start in May 2024.

The requirements of the role are as follows:

* You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20).

* You must have previous experience working in schools (within the past 2 years).

* You must be confident & comfortable working with pupils with SEN and/or challenging pupils.
