Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the dedication to make a real difference in a young person's life?

Milk Education is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the L5 area of Liverpool to recruit a caring and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who has experience working with children who have additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, both in and outside of the classroom.

Implement tailored learning strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and progress.

Support emotional regulation and behaviour management with empathy and consistency.

Foster a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (in a school, residential, or care setting).

Be patient, adaptable, and resilient.

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Milk Education.
