About the Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's home based in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and compliant manager who is either already Ofsted-registered or has strong leadership experience in a regulated setting.

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to delivering high standards of care, improving outcomes for young people, and leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily running of the children's home in line with Ofsted regulations, legislation, and the home's Statement of Purpose.

*

Provide strong leadership and support to staff, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.

*

Take full responsibility for the home's compliance, safeguarding, and inspection readiness.

*

Manage staff performance, training, and development, ensuring the team delivers consistently high levels of care.

*

Maintain effective relationships with local authorities, families, external agencies, and other professionals.

*

Ensure robust care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies are in place and followed.

*

Work in partnership with senior leadership to meet occupancy targets and maintain the home's reputation for quality care.

Requirements:

*

Must have previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting.

*

Must hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

*

Must hold Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).

*

Proven experience working with young people with EBD and challenging behaviours.

*

Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Ofsted inspection frameworks.

*

Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

*

Able to lead by example, inspire staff, and uphold a child-centred approach.

*

Driver with access to a vehicle is desirable.
