DV Cleared Systems Engineer - SatCom

Location: Bristol - Onsite with some travel to other sites in Southwest

Start date: ASAP

Rate: £500 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 12 months

Clearance Required: Active DV Clearance (Developed Vetting)

Nationality Requirement: Sole UK/British Nationals only

We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared Systems Engineer with a strong background in Satellite Communications (SatCom) to join our Defence client's high-profile programme. This is a critical role supporting the UK Ministry of Defence, requiring a hands-on engineer who can operate within secure environments and contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, integrate, and support SatCom systems for Defence programmes.

* Provide technical expertise across the full systems engineering lifecycle.

* Support system requirements analysis, architecture design, and verification/validation.

* Work closely with MOD stakeholders and industry partners to ensure capability delivery.

* Produce and review technical documentation in line with Defence standards.

* Support secure system deployments and provide in-depth troubleshooting.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Proven background in Satellite Communications (SatCom)/ MILSatCom.

* Demonstrated MOD/Defence sector experience.

* Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles (requirements, design, integration, test).

* Ability to work effectively in classified environments with strict security protocols.

Desirable Skills:

* Knowledge of secure communication systems and cryptographic solutions.

* Familiarity with Defence standards such as JSPs, DEF-STANs, or equivalent.

* Experience in RF engineering, networking, or cyber security.
