Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Dustcart Driver to join our waste management operations team in London. Job starts 1st of April 2026.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to collect and transport waste materials from designated areas to disposal or recycling facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. * Operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including dustcarts, with manual transmission and automatic options, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and safety regulations

* Collect waste from Royal Parks various locations according to scheduled routes

* Load and unload waste containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or mechanical lifts

* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety issues

* Maintain accurate records of daily collections, route completion times, and vehicle mileage

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route adjustments or operational concerns

* Assist in the safe handling of hazardous or special waste materials following regulatory guidelines

* Ensure compliance with environmental policies and safety standards at all times

Requirements

* Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles within waste management or related industries

* Valid CPC driver's license with a clean driving record for 7.5 tonne and above

* Physical ability to move waste containers and perform manual tasks as required
