As a Sociology Teacher, you will facilitate thought-provoking discussions.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Sociology Teacher lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-level), covering a range of sociological theories and topics.
* Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for critical analysis of social structures, issues, and human interactions.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-level Sociology examinations, with a strong emphasis on research methods and sociological understanding.
* Assess and monitor student progress in Sociology, providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding and analytical skills.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in a similar independent school setting, with a specialism in Sociology or a related social science.
* Demonstrated experience teaching Sociology Teacher lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5, with a track record of inspiring high levels of student engagement and academic achievement.
* A strong and comprehensive knowledge of sociological theory, contemporary social issues, and effective teaching methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex sociological ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
