Sous Chef - Permanent Position, Cambridge

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef for a full-time, permanent opportunity in the heart of Cambridge. This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the Head Chef and working 37.5 hours per week on a two-week shift rotation.

As Sous Chef, you will take charge of managing kitchen shifts, provide direction and mentoring to the team, and ensuring a consistently high standard of food and service for a wide variety of guests, from regular diners to VIP event delegates. Your CV will reflect significant experience in quality kitchens, with proven success in industrial and banqueting catering environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate the kitchen team during shifts, maintaining top standards in food preparation and service.
Uphold exceptional hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen management practices.
Deliver a diverse and creative menu for daily service, events, and banqueting.
Collaborate with senior management, contributing fresh ideas and supporting kitchen operations.
Complete routine administrative duties; computer literacy is required.
Demonstrate ambition and readiness to progress towards a Head Chef role.What We're Looking For:

£36,900 per annum
Paid overtime
Non-contractual performance bonus (annually each November)
