Job Summary:

Assist with processing applications for admissions, including filing, duplicating, and mailing supplemental information; answering telephones, assist in sorting mail.

May also assist with the MMI process, interview scheduling and administration.

Dictation of notes from counselors, assist with set up for interview days in Admissions, including putting together packets for interviewees; any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Assist with day to day financial aid processing and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

Preferred Qualifications:


High level of confidentiality, ability to perform routine office tasks; must be available during office hours.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the admissions process and the process/schedule for applicant interviews.

Responsible, reliable, detail-oriented

Excellent analytical and writing skills, experience using Excel, Powerpoint and Word

Moderate Supervision

Work Days:

Monday-Friday during regular office hours
