We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established composites manufacturer based in Poole. This is a full-time, permanent role working on-site. You'll play a key part in making sure products meet customer standards, leading quality checks, solving problems, and improving processes.
Salary: From £45,000 per year
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
- Friday: 8am - 2pm
- On-site only
- DBS check required
Key Responsibilities - Work closely with Engineering and Production to plan and manage quality checks.
- Make sure customer quality standards are understood and followed.
- Lead quality inspections and sign off on finished products.
- Manage and fix any issues with product quality.
- Carry out First Article Inspections (FAIRs) to customer or AS9102 standards.
- Review and report on quality data to improve processes.
- Ensure the business follows ISO 9001 standards.
- Manage and support a Quality Inspector on your team.
What We're Looking For- Experience in a manufacturing quality role (composites is a plus).
- Able to read technical drawings and use inspection tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, Lean, and root cause analysis.
- Confident with Microsoft Office and working under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- CQI qualification is a bonus.
