Machine Tool Applications Engineer

Location: Worcester (with regular UK travel)

Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

A leading machine tool business based in Worcester is seeking a skilled Engineer to support ongoing growth and investment in its technical team. This role will be pivotal in delivering pre- and post-sales support, showcasing advanced machining capabilities, and strengthening relationships with customers and partners across the UK.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and external clients to deliver high-quality demonstrations, training, and technical guidance. This includes:

Providing expert support to internal teams and customers across a wide range of CNC applications

Preparing and delivering tailored cutting trials and technical demonstrations

Showcasing the latest machine tool technologies and partner integrations at customer sites and industry events

Delivering in-depth demonstrations of control systems and CAM software

Supporting technical queries and customer visits, both in-house and on-site

Planning and running live demonstrations for events and exhibitions (UK and overseas)

Supporting customer training programmes as required

Staying up to date with developments in machining processes, CAD/CAM, automation, and in-process measurement

Collaborating with sales and service teams to ensure a smooth technical handover and ongoing customer satisfaction

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

Hands-on experience in CNC machining and programming

Familiarity with CAD/CAM platforms and machine tool controls

Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to varied technical challenges

A Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
Desirable:

HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
