Location: Oldbury, West Midlands (B69 2NH)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday

* Shift Pattern: 06:00am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Rolling Shift)

* Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support ongoing operations at our busy manufacturing site in Oldbury. This role involves a mix of preventive and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery, tools, and equipment used in the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain, service, and install production machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime.

* Diagnose faults and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.

* Perform regular inspections and carry out planned preventive maintenance.

* Fit new parts and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities (routine and emergency).

* Conduct quality checks and liaise with site management and other departments as needed.

* Ensure electrical systems and equipment comply with current safety legislation.

* Adhere to all health and safety policies and company procedures.

* Support compliance with quality, environmental, and H&S management systems.

Skills & Experience Required

* Basic competency in electrical engineering, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.

* Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

* Ability to interpret technical information and solve engineering problems.

* Competent in IT with the ability to analyse performance data.

* Experience in assessing maintenance needs, prioritising tasks, and managing multiple projects.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

* Knowledge of relevant health & safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

* City & Guilds Level 2 in Engineering
