Position: Production ManagerLocation: GranthamSalary: £40,000 - £45,000

A well-established, family-run engineering business is seeking an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of workshop operations and drive production.

This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with a strong background in fabrication, welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, or related manufacturing disciplines.

Overview

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 15 production staff across fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and machining
• Oversee all aspects of production including quality control, HSE compliance, and operational efficiency
• Implement processes to maximise productivity, efficiency, and output quality
• Collaborate with management and shopfloor teams to plan, schedule, and deliver production targets
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the workshop
• Maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and team performance

Requirements

• Strong practical background in fabrication, welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, or related engineering disciplines
• Proven experience managing teams in a workshop or production environment
• Hands-on understanding of health & safety regulations, quality control, and continuous improvement processes
• Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Salary and benefits
